Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Warehouse Manager vacancy.
Main job purpose
To oversee and control the entire operation of the warehouse through the effective management and utiilization of all resources, required to optimise the efficiency of the warehouse, thereby ensuring excellent service delivery, safety of warehouse staff and business continuity.
Main Objective
To optimise the warehouse supply chain through the effective utilisation of resources and management of inventory control in order to control risks (e.g. damage and safety) and ensure that the business delivers the right product in the right quantity at the right time in order to always satisfy the customer.
To take overall responsibility for the Warehouse systems and processes; thereby ensuring overall data integrity and customer satisfaction relating to Widney's product and service delivery.
To reduce and manage production variances by reporting any discrepancies identified and taking full accountability for the identification and implementation of corrective actions.
To ensure effective utilization of warehouse areas and observe proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of items to maintain the quality of finished goods in order to prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of pilferage, accidents and occupational hazards.
To manage and build relationships with all external sub-contractors in line with established Service Level Agreement to ensure optimal performance for the business by working collaboratively and engaging with key stakeholders in order to improve supplier efficiencies, quality and overall customer satisfaction.
To ensure staff are effectively managed and held accountable through performance and disciplinary procedures, and that staff are developed and mentored through the talent management and IDP processes to drive capability in business.
Critical job requirements
Qualification(s)
Grade 12
Warehouse or Logistics or Supply Chain Diploma
Knowledge
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Knowledge of OHSACT requirements
Working knowledge in analytical fault detection
Inventory and stock control
Knowledge of IATF 16949 QMS
Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental system
IR Knowledge
Knowledge of compiling SLA's for service providers
Experience
Experience within supply chain management advantageous
Minimum of 3 years experience as Warehouse Manager
Salary: Market Related
