FMCG ACCOUNT MANAGER WITH MID TRADE & EXPORT EXPERIENCE
My client is a large Food FMCG chain and is currently looking for a mature all round ,comprehensive Account Manager with Export and Mid Trade Expereince within the Food Industry.
Primary purpose of the role is to further develop and maximise the distribution, net revenue and Gross Profit of: National and Regional, QSR customers , Retail chains , wholesale & Alternative Customers in South Africa and neighbouring countries by increasing market share and efficient customer service.
YOU WILL HAVE at least 3-5 years experience as a Account Manager with in FMCG
The position is based in Alberton and you will be ideally from Gauteng as re-loaction will not
be compensated should you reside out of province.
General Accountabilities:
• Work closely with the different departments to assess customer opportunities
• Support detailed market initiatives/ develop local programs to meet local needs
• Ensure timely input to the commercial planning process
• Fulfil the yearly volume and net revenue and GP plan according to the goals and plans distributed by quarter.
• Increase market share continuously in the accounts.
• Monitor performance and compliance, take corrective actions when needed
• Established contracts according to company principles and strategy
• Fulfil seasonal strategies
• Nation-wide promotions, arrangement of local events, and working out local promotions.
• Listing of new products
• Guarantee and improve product distribution and availability at the accounts
• Effective equipment placement (racks/ displays)
• Price execution and communication towards customers
• Ensure effective communication
• Maintain a physical presence in the field to reinforce the account strategy and ensure executional excellence
• Account Relations management of customers
• Organise regular business reviews with customers
• Ensure that complaints are followed up internally
• Maintain, check and update customer data
• Ensure all key decision makers within the account are informed
Specific Skills/Experience required for role:
• Strong Business Awareness; P&L understanding
• Good negotiation and communication skills, teamwork, flexibility
• Customer oriented, good problem-solving abilities, accuracy
• Ability to take decisions
• Ethical conduct & Compliance consciousness
• Entrepreneurial thinking
• Relevant sales diploma or degree
• 3 to 5 experience in sales roles in FMCG – Preferably wholesale and Export
