Overview
An exciting career opportunity has become available for a Customer Care Consultant within the DirectAxis Financial Services division. The purpose of this position is to service all existing customers through pro-active interventions and regular communication channels with the aim of providing them with exceptional customer service and ultimately retaining their business.


 

 
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Regulatory Exam 5 qualification, if due.
- FAIS credits or recognised qualification from the FSB, if due.
- Financial and/or Insurance services background is preferred.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of word and excel.
- Outlook (e-mails and electronic calendars).

Other special requirements:
- Expected to work overtime from time to time, required to work flexible shifts
- Customer care and member advocacy
- Driving retention initiatives
- Conversion of cancellations and NTU’s to active policies
- Ensuring that all NTU’s and cancellations are valid
- Performing re-quotes, re-brokes & re-instatements
- Interaction with active customers at key time periods
- Confirmation of cover and being engaged with the customer during this time
- Updating policies with amendments
- Upselling on existing Customer Base
- Updating stats
- Handling and updating annual renewals
- Requesting sales calls for claim queries


Experience
- Short Term Insurance experience (6-12 months)
- Customer service experience (6 months)
- Excel and Word (Basic)
- Contact Centre experience (1 year)

- Contributes to cost efficiencies.
- Delivers customer service through adherence to internal quality service standards.
- Delivers customer service through adherence to quality service standards.
- Optimises work through the application of learning experiences.
- Ensures operational excellence through the delivery of work processes according to defined quality standards.
- Completes customer services administration.
- Ensures that knowledge of product offerings and policies is up to date.
- Resolves incoming queries and directs unresolved queries.
- Contributes to teamwork.
- Engages in activities for own development.
