Cost Analyst

About the Position

Our client, a leader in the field of print and packaging, seeks to employ a Cost Analyst for their operation in Paarl. This role is to be filled by a candidate who has experience in the FMCG, Packaging or Printing sector, who has a solid grasp on the fast pace of the FMCG and Packaging Production sector and who is able to work well independently.

You will have completed a Tertiary qualification in Cost and Management Accounting or related, coupled with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Cost Analysis within a fast-paced packaging, labelling or FMCG Manufacturing plant.
You will have solid and proven working experience in forecasting of production costs, provide reporting on the forecasting of raw material purchases, cost of production and generate forecasts of sales, report on variances and analyse financials such as general ledgers, journal entries and financial statements, as well as assessing risk and reviewing more efficient processes to ensure profitability of production.
You will have experience in managing stock levels, inventory control of raw materials and finished goods, as well as analysing the variances and cost of sales.
Solid experience in SYSPRO or SAP essential, as well as Advanced Excel and
You will have excellent organisational skills, natural business acumen and above average interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
You will have a valid driver's license, a clear criminal and credit record and a list of contactable references.
