Conference and Banqueting Waiter

JOB SUMMARY:
The position requires a charismatic guest orientated sales person with great attention to detail, to serve food and drinks to guests and prepare the event in accordance with RCH and LHW standards

ORGANISATIONAL POSITIONING:
Department: Conference and Banqueting
Reporting to: Banqueting Manager
Location: The Twelve Apostles Hotel Premises
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATION:
Grade 12 Certificate
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a 4/5* banqueting or events environments
Exposure to a Point of Sales System (Micros - advantageous)
Good command of the English Language with solid knowledge of hospitality vocabulary
Highly presentable
Able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays

KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
To ensure that all setups and preparations are completed a day ahead of the event in accordance with the function sheet specifications
Ensuring that mise en place is done in accordance with outlet standard
Service guests in accordance with outlet service journey and company service culture
Handle operating equipment in accordance with company standards ensuring minimal breakages
Ensure that all revenue is accounted for by practicing the “swipe before you serve” principle for all transactions
