Client Service Consultant

A reputable Asset Manager is recruiting exceptional graduates with a maximum of 0-2 years’ working experience and a passion for investments. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates with a relevant finance or investment degree to gain experience in an entry level role at one of the most successful and admired asset management companies in South Africa.


As an Investment Consultant in the retail division of the business, you will be required to provide excellent support service to the clients regarding their investment related queries, telephonically, written and face to face and varying from simple log in queries to more complex investment questions.

This role provides individuals with the opportunity to learn about Investment products, services and culture to build the fundamental building blocks for future career growth. Key responsibilities

To service investors, potential investors and financial advisers with transactions and queries for all products telephonically and via written correspondence through:
Discussion and explanation of all funds and products offered.
Assisting clients with process information and quotes.
Assisting clients with the tracking and follow up of transactions in progress.
Responding to queries regarding investment performance.

Clarifying and explaining our investment approach and philosophy
To ensure accurate record keeping through service related administrative tasks.
To assist with database updates and information maintenance.
To support a positive and responsive climate for client enquiry resolution.
To play a key role in the stewardship of positive client relationships and the retention of clients.
To build and establish relationships at all levels with internal departments to enhance organisational effectiveness and efficiency.

Minimum requirements

A relevant business / commerce/financial related degree (B.com) or equivalent with good transcripts. Aggregate of 65% plus required
Matric Mathematics with an average of 55% plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
Knowledge and interest in finance and investment management
Multilingual (Advantageous)
Maximum of 2 years working experience

For training purposes, the successful candidate would be required to work in the Cape Town offices for a period of 3-6 months before returning to resume their duties in the Johannesburg office. You will be required to work for 18 -24 months in this role dependent on your performance before applying for other internal roles.
