Job Description

We are looking for a Food Services Assistants & Cashiers in the Montague Gardens Area

Areas suitable would be Factreton, Kensington, Maitland, Brooklyn, Milnerton and Sand drift due to shifts which are 06.00am to 16.00pm, 13.00pm to 10.00pm and 10.00pm to 06.00am ... Monday to Friday and Sundays, Closed on Saturdays ( Transport is provided to take staff home when they finish at 10.00pm and they are picked up when they start at 10.00pm)

Duties: Front and Back of house will include:

Doing cash ups

The correct ringing up of items on the till

Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.

Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage

Prepare a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures.

Package take-out foods and/or serve food to customers.

Portion and wrap the food, or place it directly on plates for service to patrons

Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service, or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets.

Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly.

Weigh or measure ingredients

Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks.

Requirements:

Previous experience in similar position

Grade 12 (Advantageous)

Knowledge of stock issues and working on a till

Doing cash Ups

Ability to Work in a Pressurized Environment

Good Communication Skills at all Levels (English & Afrikaans)
Good Energy
Well Presented, Neat & Professional Image
Flexible Hours and shifts
