Full Job Description

Situated in the heart of Menlyn, our newest Fine dining establishment is a home-from-home with decor to inspire and delight. A place where diversified menu is served, hence we are looking for waiters to join our friendly 5* team to provide an immediately identifiable, approachable welcome and food and beverage service for members and guests.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

Greet and escort members and guests to their tables.

Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies).

Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses or as directed by management.

Inform members and guests about the day’s specials.

Offer menu recommendations upon request.

Up-sell additional products when appropriate.

Take accurate food and drinks orders, using order slips or by memorization.

Place order through the NorthStar POS.

Serve food and drink orders with care and grace.

Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.

Knowledge on our offerings: Food, Wine as well as the Equilibrium brands.

Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.

Deliver checks and collect bill payments.

Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning.

Work with the Operations team to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. events)

Provide excellent service to our members.

Job Requirements:
SKILLS

Warm, friendly, approachable, passionate and ability to learn fast

WORK EXPERIENCE:

1 year server experience prefered but not required

QUALIFICATIONS:

With or without Matric
Certificate in Food and beverages will be an added advantage
