Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful incumbent will manage a designated team, plant and materials in a culture of performance monitoring, review and action in support of achieving the organizations mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Control production scheduling and planning by managing production plans and ensuring attainment there off.
Analyse output/efficiency on a shift basis and take appropriate action.
Assist with budget and variance control by calculating budget losses and analysing weekly variance and institute corrective action.
Ensure that plant is maintained in excellent condition in order to produce at the highest economical viable efficiencies.
Lead initiatives for continuous improvements by using appropriate systems.

Ensure compliance with Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS), and Quality Policy
Ensure hygiene and 5s audit score standards.
Ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment
Identify all training needs for staff and conduct or arrange training as and when required
Key Requirements:
NQF5 Manufacturing Management or National Diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Food Technology with English and Maths.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food manufacturing environment with 2 years being in a team leader position.
Sound understanding of factory operations.
Understanding of HR procedures and practices and their application
Have a commercial and financial understanding.
Fully computer literate and SAP experience an added advantage
Must have own car and willing to work shifts.
