An African platform operator, Video Entertainment’s expertise lies distributing media products, creating media content and selling advertising. Its key areas of operations are:
Pay Television: direct-to-home satellite and digital terrestrial television services; and
SVOD: subscription video on demand services across multiple online platforms with a focus on library and local content in developing markets

Purpose of the Position:
To manage the day-to-day operations of the VE Global Mobility Reward, Payroll and Benefits function
Be a part of the VE Global Mobility team providing an effective global mobility function to the VE businesses in collaboration with the Talent Management and Regional and Country HR and other business teams.
Support in setting world class global mobility programmes and processes within the VE talent Management Framework and applicable legislation.
Key Performance Objectives
Tasks
Strategy Formulation and Implementation
Assist in establishing and maintaining a VE Global Mobility function that will that support the business to achieve set Organisational goals
Global Mobility Process Management
Manage the reward, benefit, payroll and tax processes within the Global Mobility team for the VE Group offering the business a well-managed and pro-active global mobility solution.
Rewards and Benefits Management
Support the South Africa and MAL Reward managers by managing the daily operations of Total Reward for globally mobile employees whilst ensuring the reward offerings are competitive and legally compliant.
Support in the annual pay review process of all globally mobile employees, depending on the individual requirements of each country or employment contract. Including review of any location specific allowances.
Assist in a project to standardise globally mobility offerings across VE.
Processing offers to new employees within the global mobility space.
Ad-hoc reward requirements.
Onboarding and offboarding employees onto international benefit funds.
Managing queries from employees with regards to reward and benefits.
Managing the international pension fund, life, disability and medical insurances
Payroll
Managing the relationship with Payroll provider(s) and the internal payroll team(s).
Preparing monthly payroll input and managing payroll (and shadow payroll) processing together with payroll service providers (both internal and external).
Application of monthly foreign exchange rates.
Checking payroll input as processed by the relevant payroll teams.
Manage mobile employee expense claims
Approve vendor invoice payments e.g. school fees
Track mobile employees annual leave and leave pay out on termination
Manage day-to-day employee payroll queries together with the relevant payroll provider.
Checking of new post-increase reward packages in payroll, once processed
Manage double annual payroll in line with company P2P
Manage monthly funding requirements with finance for payments
Assist payroll providers at audit time.
Tax
Manage the relationship with the global mobility tax service provider
Manage all global mobility tax related queries
Manage the annual net to gross calculation per country, as required.
Work closely with the Group Tax department to ensure they are aware of and manage any potential company tax risks.
Continually keep abreast of tax legislation changes in al jurisdictions.
Operation Delivery
Ensure Talent Management principles used to determine Talent Mobility decisions are guided and respond to Business Strategic needs and Employee Career Paths.
Set up structure to avail accurate data on Mobility
Research and understand Regional and Country nuances to ensure allocations are well matched.
Ensure mobility is integrated to all other HR processes to enable continuous Employee Evaluations on Performance, Reward and Development initiatives
Support and administrate the shares process for the territories.
Relationship Building/ Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders in the field to enable process improvement and agile service delivery to eligible candidates
Establish and maintain good relationships with global mobility service providers and internal VE and Naspers teams.

Qualifications
Essential:
A Degree or NQF Level 7 equivalent qualification, preferably in Commerce or Tax
Global Remuneration Professional (GRP).
Preferred:
Post Graduate Degree
Experience / Skills
A minimum of 5 – 8 years’ experience in structuring Mobility Programs.
Able to consult at a senior executive level and to face off to demanding clients.
Diplomatic training/ International Labour Relations exposure
Strong numeracy.
Superior Excel and Reward and Benefits programs
Understanding of labour legislation in SSA.
Good understanding of Global Mobility reward, payroll and benefits
Solid understanding of global mobility related tax
