My client a leading and well known FMCG Company requires the services of a successful and skilled Regional Account manager to join their team at their offices in Centurion.
This position is reporting to the National Account Manager
Join the team in Centurion and take on the challenge of managing one of the biggest regional accounts (Shoprite).
Use your sales and marketing skills to add value.
Successful candidates need to have at least 3 - 5 years' relevant experience within a Marketing/Sales/Trade Marketing FMCG environment,
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in channel strategy management and high level negotiation,
Duties & Responsibilities
Formulate strategy into Channel Specific Plans, by using applicable Tools, KPIβs and procedures.
Develop retailer specific strategies to achieve/exceed sales objectives.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders
Use trade visits to develop, build and nurture business relationships and to grow brand loyalty and commitment.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the market, competitors and economic conditions and use this to ensure a competitive advantage.
Oversee the dissemination of sales information on both management and departmental levels to report on sales performance
Manage sales, trading terms, profitability, trade/deal discounts optimally.
Understand Brand Value and Pricing in order to manage Profitability and Price Realisation.
Channel Strategy Management:
Understanding geographical dynamics of the sales area.
Maintain product ranging within customer channel.
Display financial acumen.
Supply Chain and Supplier Management:
Manage and evaluate relationships with Sales Force (PFS) to drive quality and Continuous improvement within customer channels.
Candidate Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Sales/Commerce/Marketing. ESSENTIAL
At least 5 Yearsβ experience in similar role. ESSENTIAL
Proven track record of maintaining profitable growth, achievement of sales targets, retaining and growing customer base.
Experience in negotiations with buyers.
Excellent customer relations.
Ambitious, energetic and driven.
Strong strategic and analytical skills are critical.
Thorough understanding of the Retail/Wholesale Industry.
Budgeting and Forecasting experience.
Ability to present and influence with credibility at all levels.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate to Advanced computer literacy.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to work independently and with accuracy.
