The Operations manager oversees the production of goods and/ or provision of services, they are to make sure that the business operations are running efficiently and smoothly to meet the needs of customers and clients. The core purpose of the role is to ensure that stock, housekeeping, and staff are managed properly ensuring that the business is running at optimum levels of efficiency
Job Description
Monitor and align the effectiveness of the businessโs production/provision
Planning and controlling change
Researching and implementing new methods of operational efficiency
Implement production productivity, quality and customer- service standards
Resolve all warehouse related problems
Develop process for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping
Accomplish operations and business mission by completing related tasks as needed
Manage staff hours
Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues relating to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on site.
Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
Work closely with GM, HR and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation. HR
Training, supervising and appraising staff
Identifies with subordinatesโ opportunities for improvements and performs feasibility studies
Projects completed within budget and on time
Accurate and timeous reporting
Leads / monitors the development and implementation of projects and ensures the achievement of project targets (cost, time)
Completes and submits reports as required
Ensure the stock and assets related to the warehouse are securely and safely managed and that we do not have losses, system failures and stock losses.
Management of PPE for the entire business.
Ensure warehouse is neat and clean and all stock is marked. Incoming and outgoing stock must always have the relevant paperwork attached.
Qualification & Experience
Diploma/Degree in Operations, supply chain or logistics
Maximum 6 years Operations/ warehouse experience
