Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Leading and developing the local HR team to provide support to Management and
employees of the the best HR practice
β€’ To build a strong relationship with the recognised Trade Union and consult as
appropriate
β€’ To advise and support Management Team and Line Managers in the effective
implementation of the best HR practice
β€’ To lead the Plant Management Team on key organisational and development issues.
β€’ Ensure targets are met for Absence/Accident/Headcount and detail these as part of
weekly reviews
β€’ Develop new HR initiatives to support the business strategy
β€’ Develop and sustain a company wide best practice, integrated business system (TS16949)
β€’ Te review, develop and implement policies and procedures for the recruitment,
selection, induction and retention of staff

 

 
β€’ To facilitate and monitor staff appraisal system and make recommendations for
change in line with best practice
β€’ To coordinate training and development activities within the plant
β€’ Facilitate Joint Works and Health and Safety meetings
β€’ Ensure the Companyβ€˜s policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and provide assistance and support when required to Management and Line Managers
β€’ Carry out disciplinary/grievance activities
β€’ Update and maintain all personnel files
β€’ Carry out Absence Management policies and procedures
β€’ To lead all Recruitment or Redundancy programs
β€’ Dealing with employee claims and relevant meetings/documentation
β€’ Lead the involvement of Occupational Health when the business need occurs

Qualifications:
β€’ Candidates will have CIPD qualification and be educated to degree level within the field of Human Resources or similar
β€’ Minimum of three years’ experience in a HR Management role
β€’ Competent and experienced within a high-volume automotive environment
β€’ Proven knowledge and experience in EU Labour Law
β€’ Significant experience of Trade Unions in a demanding environment
β€’ PC Literate
β€’ Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing)
