Key Responsibilities:
β’ Leading and developing the local HR team to provide support to Management and
employees of the the best HR practice
β’ To build a strong relationship with the recognised Trade Union and consult as
appropriate
β’ To advise and support Management Team and Line Managers in the effective
implementation of the best HR practice
β’ To lead the Plant Management Team on key organisational and development issues.
β’ Ensure targets are met for Absence/Accident/Headcount and detail these as part of
weekly reviews
β’ Develop new HR initiatives to support the business strategy
β’ Develop and sustain a company wide best practice, integrated business system (TS16949)
β’ Te review, develop and implement policies and procedures for the recruitment,
selection, induction and retention of staff
change in line with best practice
β’ To coordinate training and development activities within the plant
β’ Facilitate Joint Works and Health and Safety meetings
β’ Ensure the Companyβs policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and provide assistance and support when required to Management and Line Managers
β’ Carry out disciplinary/grievance activities
β’ Update and maintain all personnel files
β’ Carry out Absence Management policies and procedures
β’ To lead all Recruitment or Redundancy programs
β’ Dealing with employee claims and relevant meetings/documentation
β’ Lead the involvement of Occupational Health when the business need occurs
Qualifications:
β’ Candidates will have CIPD qualification and be educated to degree level within the field of Human Resources or similar
β’ Minimum of three yearsβ experience in a HR Management role
β’ Competent and experienced within a high-volume automotive environment
β’ Proven knowledge and experience in EU Labour Law
β’ Significant experience of Trade Unions in a demanding environment
β’ PC Literate
β’ Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing)
