Job Description
RCL FOODS is seeking a Hatchery Foreman to join our Consumer Division. The role will be based at our Camperdown Site and report to the Hatchery Manager. RCL FOODS is looking for an analytical and organized person who is able to work shifts.


Minimum Requirements
Minimum Grade 12 is required relevant qualification will be an advantage.
Code 10 driver’s license would be an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years relevant hatchery experience.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory and leadership experience.

Well-developed interpersonal and labour relations skills.
Ability to communicate on all levels within the organization.
Ability to work shift work/ standby/overtime and in quarantine.
Obligated to reside full time on company property as part of custodial responsibilities.
Ability to effectively plan, schedule and execute work.
Attention to detail and Good analytical skills

Duties & Responsibilities
Production of high quality day-old chicks for customers
Optimisation of hatchability superior to the breed standard
Planning of the setting of eggs in incubators and placement of chicks on the farms
Maintenance, security and optimisation of assets
Management and development of staff
Budget preparation and analysis of costs
Enforcement of Best Operating Procedures
Optimum management and control of stock
Participate and contribute as a member of the management team.
Ensuring compliance to SHEQ and Risk Management Total Integrated Management Systems
