Graphic Design β Position Summary
Barrows is looking for an energetic, vibrant character to support their expanding design team. The
Graphic Designer will be required to work alongside a larger creative team and interact across the
board with clients, retail specialists and industrial designers. There is a need to understand the
requirements and possibilities of design and apply a graphic skin of the various retail solutions
that our industrial designers create.
Performance Scope
Participate in interactive design sessions and brainstorms.
Receive briefs and design direction from team leads, assisting in a smooth handover from the client service and strategy teams.
Drive conceptualization and design research.
Generate exploratory mood boards by gathering literature and visual resources.
Ability to conceptualize and create key visuals.
Generate concepts and visualize them by sketching and / or mock-ups.
Understanding of pre-press and other printing methods.
Character

Ability to communicate and present fluently in English.
Relevant Experience & Qualifications
Proven track record of designing in a marketing / FMCG environment would be a plus.
Someone with experience in shopper marketing, retail design and point of purchase would be considered an asset.
A diploma or degree qualification in graphic design.
2+ yearsβ experience in a graphic design role in-house or in agency environments.
Software literacy of Adobe Creative Suite.
Competency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word would be beneficial.
Digital Sketching with a Wacom tablet a plus.
