ROLE PURPOSE


Does the idea of lsquo & growing a career in financial services' excite you? If you are good at building relationships; exploring business opportunities; motivating, empowering and supporting brokers or financial planners to grow, then you may just be who we're looking for. The persuader, the marketer and commercial thinker who knows their way around the financial services industry. Momentum Distribution Services (MDS) is looking for a trend-setting Broker Consultant who will take the Momentum Retail product and service offering to the intermediary market. You'll be the go-to person for all things Momentum & ndash; building and sustaining lasting relationships with your intermediaries and creating perpetual hype around the Momentum offering. With your input, intermediaries will view Momentum as their preferred financial wellness partner.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS


β€’ Assist financial planners with ideas and workable plans to grow their businesses & ndash; in the process gaining their commitment to support the Momentum offering.

 

 
β€’ Build lasting relationships with intermediaries - investing time in addressing their concerns and clarifying mutual expectations.
β€’ Keep financial planners and their teams in the loop with training support and collateral – ensuring a thorough understanding of all Momentum products, client solutions and operational requirements.
β€’ Involve respective Momentum product specialists and support financial planners on a legal/technical-level within your area of expertise.
β€’ Grow your intermediary panel (of brokers and financial planners) – vesting and establishing them, continuously increasing their productivity.
β€’ Drive and monitor performance against set intermediary production targets.
β€’ Pro-actively expand your internal and external network to grow business and give direction to your financial planners.
β€’ Continuously develop and upskill yourself via relevant learning platforms; also ensuring you comply with all accreditation and regulatory role requirements.
β€’ Live the Momentum values - always portraying efficiency and professionalism in your work.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


β€’ A related post-matric qualification (or actively working towards one). A degree, CFP or similar qualification will be an added advantage.
β€’ At least 3 years related financial services experience.
β€’ Knowledge of insurance, investment, risk or health management related products.
β€’ A valid driver's license, own transport, smartphone and laptop.
β€’ A willingness to travel.
β€’ A clear ITC record.
β€’ Must be fluent in Afrikaans

The above-mentioned position is currently available in our Momentum Retail division based at our office in Bethlehem.
