Our client, a leading South African company within the Truck Rental and transport industry is seeking a Branch Manager to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To plan, lead, organize and control all available branch resources
Creating and maintaining effective customer relationships in the branch
Ensuring that fleet are well maintained and employees are highly motivated and driven to perform and maximise financial returns
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Drive financial objectives of a branch ensuring profitability and growth
Manage finances in accordance to allocated budget, prevent and limit over/under spending and report on monthly financial performance
Manage and control all branch expenses in line with budget
Manage debtors for branch by liaising with debtors department

 

 
Managing customer credit limits and sending out communication to clients
Credit applications to be completed correctly before submitting for processing
Limit credit notes of branch
Ensure all creditors are loaded on the system according to correct procedures
Creditor invoices to be captured on time for payment
Risk management of branch ensuring stock and assets are safe at all times
Customer relations building relationships, monitoring customer satisfaction and handle complaints
Liaise with suppliers and ensure SLA is maintained
Operations Management strategic planning, fleet management, Loss control & Insurance
Procurement accurate information to be submitted ie: Sales, supplier price vetting etc.
Business development and Brand management
SHEQ compliance
Corporate Governance and business ethics
HR Management: Recruitment, performance management, disciplinary and training and development of subordinates in branch
Candidate Requirements
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCEΒ·

Matric pre-requisite
Diploma Logistics or Operations Management
3 – 5 years’ work experience in logistics
Ability to work independently and good customer service
Energetic, innovative proactive thinker
High level of flexibility and adaptability
Computer proficiency- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Basic accounting skills
Must be willing to work flexible hours when required
