Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Artisan Fitter to join our dynamic team.
Role Summary
Ford is looking for a qualified fitter in the Paint shop department. Responsibilities will cover fault finding and maintenance on centrifugal and pneumatic pumps, conveyors and fans.
Position Details
Perform any mechanical maintenance, fabrication and installation on Paint shop equipment.
Quick response to breakdowns.
Adhere to safety requirements.
Responsible for the equipment start up, well-being and uptime.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operated properly and safely.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
Excellent Communication Skills, verbal and written
PC literacy, MS Office Excel, Word.
Ability to do fault finding and work on your own.
Some electrical knowledge.
Overhead conveyor systems.
Centrifugal Pumps.
Diaphragm pumps.
Pneumatic pumps; Sealer and Paint Kitchen.
Stage Pumps.
Air replacement plant fans.
Oven fans.
Exhaust fans on ovens and spray booths.
Booth parameter adjustments: Temperature, Humidity, Spray booth Balancing and Pressures.
Floor conveyor systems β Gearboxes and conveyor tensioning.
Roller beds: Alignment, Belt tensioning, roller replacements.
Maintenance on automatic roller doors.
Cross travel hoists β gearboxes and wheels.
Lifting equipment β Hydraulic scissor lifts.
Welding, cutting and grinding.
Milling and machining.
Use of root cause analysis tools, i.e. CCMDs, G8Ds, etc. and implementation of Permanent corrective actions.
Qualifications and Experience
N3 Plus Trade Test Certificate (Fitter)
2-3 years Maintenance/Fitter experience, automotive industry.
Salary: Market Related
