Eagles Pride Hatchery, the largest independant suppplier of day old chicks to the commercial market, has a vacancy for a Technical Manager. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Technical Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Technical Department, help develop and generate new business and to effectively manage and assist customers and clients with service and technical advice. The Technical Manager will manage a team of Broiler Technical Advisors and accept full responsibility for sales, customer satifaction, customer relationships and loyalty in order to achieve organizational objectives.
Details of the position

In collaboration with the Sales Manager, the Technical Manager will oversee the management of sales, assist with operational performance and streamline processes and systems where possible to maximize business sales and relationships.
Provide Management support to and coordinate all activities within the Technical Department
Achieve and maintain performance and service excellence through pro-active dispute prevention, speedy resolution and effective mediation
Develop and formulate reports and plans, set clear priorities and measureable milestones for reporting units in line with the company’s strategic plan
Technical Support and expertise to clients and customers
Quality Control
Information and Data Management
Experience, Qualifications and Skills

B.Sc (Agric) Degree or equivalent
At least 5 years experience in a Management position

Extensive Technical knowledge of the poultry industry
Ability to manage and build client relationships
Excellent communications skills
Positive attitude
Strong computer skills required for managing information and analysing data
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Leadership/Management and Influencing skills
Responsible and Accountable
Ability to handle extensive travel and stress
