A large transport service provider is searching for a qualified panelbeater to join their team. In addition to the skills requirement the successful candidate must be responsible, reliable and pleasant in nature so as to fit in well with the rest of the team.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure vehicle inspections are done as per company procedure
Log and complete all related faults or damages identified in accordance with the job card system
Ensure all general & relevant body parts (aesthetics of vehicles) are repaired and in line with manufacturer’s specifications if any
Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures
Responsible for cleanliness of working environment
Ensure all parts and tools are used in an orderly and responsible manner
Complete all relevant documentation
Report extent of problems outside own responsibility to management immediately after assessing situation.
Provide constant feedback to management on all aspects of work performed
General:

Market related basic salary
Work retail hours are from Monday to Friday 07am – 17pm
Be prepared to work overtime as required
Must have own, reliable transport to work
Minimum Requirements:

Panelbeating Trade Test Certificate advantageous
5 years’ experience working on ultra-heavy duty trucks
Specific experience on Freightliners would be advantageous
Valid driver’s licence – Code B, C or EC
Able to take full ownership and responsibility of the maintenance and repairs of the fleet’s bodywork. Must be able to work independently yet enjoy being part of a high performing team
Mechanical knowledge of trucks essential in order to assist in the technical department when not required to do any panelbeating work
Be focused on providing work of a high quality
Must have own toolbox
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R15,000.00 to R18,000.00 /month
