Position: Legal Secretary

Location: Pretoria

Salary: R266 092.00

The Legal Secretary will report directly to the Company Secretary and Legal Counsel and form part of the Company Secretariat and Legal Counsel Division. The position is based in Pretoria. The total remuneration package for this is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. The Legal Secretary will provide support to the Company Secretariat and Legal Counsel Division through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

Provide administrative and legal secretarial services and support to the Company Secretariat and Legal Counsel Division
Qualification requirements are:

A minimum of a 2 year qualification in Administration or Secretarial Studies
A Diploma would be an added advantage
A legal qualification would be beneficial

At least 3-5 years’ work experience as a legal secretary, experience within a legal department or firm;
Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
Proficiency with MS Office
Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with a high rate of accuracy
Be organised and have good time management skills
Be analytical and have the ability to manage priorities
Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to work in a team
Strong sense of discretion
Diligent work ethic
High level of integrity; and
Should be able to work in a pressurized environment
