Imports Control Clerk

💰Salary	R17 000 - R20 000 a month

Liaison with suppliers ensuring draft labels are approved for supplier prior to shipment, check the accuracy of labeling on the arrival of consignments.
Notify suppliers of any shortcomings.
Inspection and evaluation of products on arrival, capture image of products and update schedule.
Ensure all necessary documents are attached and send sample request to NRCS.
Once the results of samples are received from NRCS, forward compliance certificate to relevant traders and cold store for sales.
Handle all customer queries. Compile and supply all necessary traceability and health certification documents for customer
Handle all customer complaints. Document nature and quantity of complaint and report to the supplier
Application for relevant permits.

Key Skills
Sound accuracy, literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of the sales/purchasing team
Fluent language skills and the ability to speak and write English and preferably one other official language
Reliable and excellent time management skills

Good communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a pressurized environment

Qualifications
Grade 12 plus and 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Import/Export documents.
Excellent computer knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of Pastel will be a strong advantage.
