Lead the horticultural team in the effective management and supervision of the plant nursery and propagation of indigenous plants, assist in re-establishing rare and endangered plant species within the ephemeral pans and assist in the designing and maintenance of landscaped gardens under the control of the CCPOA.

Proactively contribute as a member of the management team to achieve companywide strategies and objectives.
Establish and maintain high horticultural standards and practices; provide direction, training and motivation for the horticultural staff, interns and volunteers
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies
Assign duties and maintain a high performance of the horticultural staff
Be a hands-on leader, actively involved in the daily and seasonal horticultural tasks in the gardens and nursery.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, on-site job training and development of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
Propagation of local indigenous and landscaping plants
Establish and oversee a systematic plant records policy, including direction of the plant collections and growth, in coordination with Century City plant list and Urban Design master plan.
Coordinate production of indigenous and landscaping plants within the nursery.
Maintain a suitable plant stock to meet the needs of the horticultural and environmental teams
Oversee the maintenance and revamping of landscaped gardens under the control of the CCPOA.
Establish and continually update the maintenance and revamping programs for all the gardens.

Develop, maintain, and promote positive and professional relationships with Century City Building & Complex managers to ensure that all gardens within Century City are maintained to the required standards.
Manage the overall plant health and soil nutrition strategies for all gardens to include sustainable gardening practices and integrated pest management.
Minimum requirements / Formal Qualifications:

National Diploma in Horticulture
Five years horticulture experience in a supervisory position
Code EB Drivers licence
