TRG 819 : (Durban) EE/AA: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER (Commercial Rental Hire & Sales)
Previous employment experience from the following sectors (advantageous); Commercial, Fleet, Car Rental Hire or Material Handling or Heavy Earth-Moving Equipment.
An experienced EE/AA: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER is required in Durban.

Experience within a CRM environment.
BCom Sales & Marketing Degree or IMM Diploma or (similar)
4-5 Years Sales Management experience.
3 Years’ experience in a Trade Desk environment
Previous Sales Management of medium sales teams (internal & external)
Experience dealing with Corporate Construction Companies, Mining Sector and Heavy Industry (advantage)
Basic R50 000.00 kpm + Comm R10kpm + Vehicle & Fuel Allowance.

Preference will be given to applicants from the previously disadvantage groups.

Main Outputs and Responsibilities;

Sales Strategy

Implement and execute sales strategies per industry
Develop and ensure the execution of a sales methodology supporting the Company’s strategic objectives
Identify opposition threats and develop and ensure implementation of strategy to neutralize
Develop and ensure implementation of an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.
Implement the regional pricing strategy
Provide input into the marketing and business development strategy to support the company’s Commercial Model
Drive new and used fleet sales strategically within the region
Contribute to and ensure marketing strategy for the region
Ensure adequate training of sales team
Personal development plans of the sales team more specifically direct reports
Create a fun and competitive environment for the sales teams.
Ensure maintenance of contact database and follow ups.
Manage call ratios of external sales staff.
Ensure adequate planning and time management of sales team
Assist sales team in resolving queries, challenges, or possible complaints with customers.
Implement account management methodology
Regularly review customer classification by spend and opportunity. Focus resources accordingly.
Review and apply the appropriate resources to effectively take care of both new and dormant accounts
Call on customers with sales consultants regularly and ensure that Customers are satisfied with product, service and sales interactions
Ensure that the company has a willing, able and motivated sales team
Ensure that selling skills are practiced effectively and consistently by all external sales staff by observation.
Manage Trade Desk personnel, process and KPI’s
Advise and assist individuals to grow and develop to build competency and revenue.
Implement a continuous learning program for the team to keep them highly skilled, motivated, focused and effective.
Identify additional sales resource requirements and hire appropriate skilled candidates to meet changing needs to address growth.
Ensure that weekly debtors meetings actions are attended, issues addressed and followed up effectively
Complete subordinate and personal KPI’s and performance appraisals as per schedule.
Sales Budgets

Development of regional sales budgets
Effective management of the sales budget, forecasts and goals
Ensure the achievement of budgeted revenue streams
Sales Targets

Ensure Sales Consultants together with trade desk meet set targets and budgets.
Project stock requirements to meet customer requirements in line with utilization targets
Ensure the achievement of regional quote conversion targets
Ensure region is mobilised to provide the appropriate sales solution to meet customer needs (rental and used)
Drive the company’s commercial value proposition to meet the clients needs
Ensure the retention of profitable Clients and show growth in wallet share
Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with identified key and corporate
Ensure National accounts within the region are effectively managed and collaboration within the wider group is effective to grow and maintain maximum share of customer spend with the company
Ensure through active collaboration with the Business Development and Marketing teams an integrated client solution.
Implement an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process
Ensure the retention of profitable Clients and show growth in wallet share
Ensure the CRM is being developed, implemented and used effectively by sales team
Working close with the business development team to ensure sales development activity is adopted across the region
Ensure after sales services are meeting the business and client's needs
Quote Conversion

Ensure sales team and trade desk meet set conversion rates.
Maintain the correct skills, tools, processes and resources in order to maximize quote conversion.
Ensure that decision makers both at the customers head office & on their sites are adequately covered in order to secure deals
Reporting

Generate monthly appropriate and informative reports regarding the qualitative and quantitative performance of sales department
Responsible for ensuring that all members of the Board and Executive Committee are up to date and informed of current situation, new trends, challenges and opportunities both within and external to ensure the competitive edge for the group
Develop market intelligence and translate into market needs

Create the future picture in the areas that the business operates using different tools including market research, information from reps and publications including newspapers, tenders etc.
Translate the future picture into market needs
Identify market and product expansion opportunities
Identify opposition threats and implement strategy to neutralize
Forecast machine requirements in line with growth plan.
Develop, action and measure strategy against competitors
General Management

Able to deal with the key and strategic and national customers on contractual agreements and tenders
Execute commission and performance structures for the Sales team
Perform sales team performance appraisals
Responsible for sales and marketing program within agreed budget for region
Manage the sales force of a region, to ensure effective coverage, return and competiveness.
Grow capabilities. Ensure sales team attend required training
Minimum Requirements;

Qualifications:

Grade 12 (Matric)
B Com Sales & Marketing Degree, IMM Diploma will be an advantage
Driver’s license
