Conveyancing Secretary – Transfers (Pretoria
Purpose of the role
To provide the director with support on Conveyancing matters, particularly transfers (from start to finish.)
Minimum Requirements
Matric essential;
Paralegal or Conveyancing diploma would be advantageous;
Must be fully skilled in the Transfers process (from start to finish);
Minimum of at least 3 years Conveyancing experience;
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes;
Ability to work fast, accurately, efficiently and independently;
Ability to take initiative and be proactive;
Displays attention to detail with all work;
Sense of responsibility;
Maintaining confidentiality in all matters; and
Good people skills and team spirit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs conveyancing procedures in the area of Transfers (from start to finish);
Drafting and checking of documents;
Attending to signing of documents and registration;
Preparing final accounts and despatching documents to clients;
Typing of commercial agreements and due diligence reports (dictaphone typing required);
In-depth knowledge of Conveyancing software packages such as: Stordoc, Webconvey, Ghostconvey and E4 advantageous;
Liaising with clients, registrar deeds office, local municipalities, banks, rates consultants, estate agents, internal deeds office clerk/driver, etc.;
Conducts deeds and company searches; and
Building relationships and networking.
