BRANCH/DEPOT OPERATIONS MANAGER (Courier | Freight | Express)

We are looking for a strong leader, someone who can lead from the front and manage all aspects of a large distribution freight operation. Someone who can roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty (when required). A BRANCH/DEPOT OPERATIONS MANAGER with suitable management experience within the Express / Freight / Courier and/or Logistics sector is required for permanent employment to be based in Johannesburg with a growing National brand.

Main Outputs and Responsibilities;

Ability to oversee all night & day shift operations.
Take full responsibility concerning the JHB Branch.
Customer relationship and partnership building.
Exceptional service delivery.
Minimum Qualification, Experience and Skill required;

Min 5 years working experience within the Courier / Express / Road Freight logistics industry as a Branch Operations Management.
Grade 12 and or recognized Freight industry Tertiary Education (RAU Diploma or Logistics qualification) would be an advantage
Knowledge of Parcel Perfect (or similar)
Proven new business sales track record
Ability to work on Windows Based programs
Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans with Customers
Work unsociable hours (Long hours, weekends etc)
Must have own transport
Must have a valid driver’s license (Code 08 or Code 10)
Able to travel when required.
Must be able to multi-task
Attention to detail.
Computer literate
Drivers licence
Contactable references.
